3.1 Terms and Conditions for Participation

§ 1 Participation at the Event

Subject and purpose of the Event is the collaborative software development. The participants apply in advance with their prior knowledge or an idea to participate in the Event. The application is possible until the day before the start of the Event. The organizer uses the submitted information to select which participants are invited to participate in the Event. As part of the Event, the participants will create software prototypes that present the underlying idea as tangibly as possible in a short time. At the end of the Event, the participants present their results to the jury, which decides on the awarding of the prizes. Datarella reserves the right to cancel or terminate the Event at any time without notice and without giving reasons. Datarella may make use of this option in particular if, for technical, legal or factual reasons, it can not guarantee proper execution of the Event.

§ 2 Work equipment / IT infrastructure

The participants are responsible for the hardware they need. SwissLegalTech does not provide any hardware and assumes no liability for the hardware brought by the participants.

The use of the Internet access provided during the Event is only permitted by means of the subscriber-related access data provided by SwissLegalTech. These are to be kept strictly confidential and may not be disclosed. The Participant will use the provided Internet connection solely for Event purposes and in accordance with all applicable laws. Violations of these laws and regulations are the sole responsibility of the participant. Each participant will indemnify SwissLegalTech from all claims and costs asserted by third parties against SwissLegalTech for breach of these obligations by the participant.

§ 3 Travel expenses

Organization and costs of the journey to the Event are the responsibility of the participants. SwissLegalTech does not reimburse any travel or other incidental expenses, except participant with travel stipend.

§ 4 Prizes and awards

The participants or teams chosen by the jury receive prizes from SwissLegalTech, which are officially communicated before or during the Event.

A claim on the prizes does not exist for the participants.

§ 5 Photo and film recordings

As part of the Event, SwissLegalTech will create photo and film recordings or have them created by third parties and, where appropriate, publish them in social media channels used by SwissLegalTech as well as in other media. In addition, representatives of the press may be present at the Event. If audio and video recordings are made during the Event, they may also contain recordings of participants. With regard to the right to own portrait, the participants irrevocably and unconditionally agree to the image of their person in the original version of the photograph or the film or in the form of an editorial revision.

The publication right covers distribution in all languages. It is unlimited in time and space. It may also be published in a video and in the form of brochures and other publications, for advertising purposes and in all media currently available and available in the future. This includes in particular the setting of the images or of the film in the internet (for example on social media channels). The participants are informed that third parties can also publish their pictures as part of quotations and impressions of sections of the article. The participants waive the naming of their name and are informed that third parties can publish their image in quotations and impressions of extracts from the articles. The publication of his illustration to the extent described occurs without any special remuneration. Financial compensation claims of whatever kind are not asserted.

By submitting your application, the participants agree that SwissLegalTech can distribute photos and film recordings of the participants and interview them with them in radio, television, print and online media without any claim to remuneration in accordance with the conditions of participation and released.

§ 6 Liability

SwissLegalTech is liable to participants only for intent and gross negligence. Liability for slight negligence is excluded. This does not apply to injury to life, body or health. SwissLegalTech shall not be liable for damages suffered by third parties (eg theft or property damage) or due to an accident without the participation of SwissLegalTech, or for damages caused by or in breach of these Terms of Participation or any other provision specified by SwissLegalTech (eg. B. by notice or instructions at the Event) have arisen.

In cases of force majeure or due to official orders or for security reasons, SwissLegalTech is entitled to make changes to the Event or to cancel the Event or to cancel it in advance. In these cases, SwissLegalTech will not be liable for damages to the participant.
