Creating Custom Content using the in game Editor
To start off load any Profile or create a new Profile, once in the Game (and on any plot) find the "+" button in the respective category.
For a custom picture select any picture frame, in the designer options you'll find all available pictures and the "+" to add a new custom picture:
For a custom Floor or Paint design select the respective category in the build Menu:
After clicking any of the three "+" buttons to open the editor you'll be presented with this view:
The Type field now specifies what type of custom content you want to create, you can always switch it now but switching it afterwards is not advised as it may break things in your save. Chose between the three options (Picture, Floor, Paint).
The Grouping field only applies to Floors and Paints, with it you describe in what group your item will later be found. Select the most fitting (e.g. creating a Floor that is wooden you'd select the "(Floor) Wooden" group.
Chose an Image; you can either paste the path into the input or just click the "..." button; it'll open a file browser dialog for you. Chose the file you want to use - be sure to the image fits the Requirements!
- Pictures require an image size of 1024x1024 px and has to be a PNG file.
- Floors and Paints must also be images of size 1024x1024 px and also need to be PNG files.
Once you've added an image go ahead and give your item a name. While most characters would work as an item name please note that they need to be savable as a filename (meaning some characters will be blocked like ":").
More on tiling later (We need to make some nice images first, please standby - you're free to experiment with the sliders tho).
Lastly chose a preview image for your custom item - this needs to be a 256x256px PNG file and will be shown in the respective lists (i.e. picture list or the build menu).
Once all the things are entered and no errors remain hit the "Create" button, the game will create the necessary data to store your item and reload mods so you can use it immediately :)
