1st or 2nd Edition Star Trek Adventure Rules

You can use this system to play either the 1st edition, 2nd edition, or a mixture of both rules.

Actors can be switched from one version to the other and back without loss of data. The only item that will need to be reviewed are weapons. Weapons rules in 1e and 2e were sufficiently different that a new weapons sheet was required. If you switch your actors between the versions, they will retain their weapons, however you can only see the ones that apply to the version you are using in the actor sheet at that time.

You can globally set whether 1e or 2e sheets are default by going to settings > configure default sheets.

Alternatively you can change actors on a case by case basis by clicking onto the Sheet (cog) button at the top of the sheet

And then selecting which version of the sheet this actor is using.

You can also change the default for this type of actor (character, starship, or small craft) from this menu instead of the global settings.

Although the sheets have some differences, the quick visual cue to know which version you are using is to check if there is a "perform challenge" button on the sheet. If it is there, that is a 1e version of the sheet.
