Michael provided an overview of MDS 2.0. It will support new modes: passenger services (taxi/TNC), delivery robots, and carshare.

Review of kitchen appliance analogy for MDS. MDS contains base information, and can have attachments that allow for different modes, and support different policies/programs.

Ongoing public work for over a year with 13 working group meetings and requests for these features going back to 2018.

Mode information includes the definition of trip attributes, fare attributes, vehicle attributes, and the state machine applicable to each mode.
