v.1.5.139 - 2023-04-05

We are excited to announce the latest release of our software, which brings a range of new features and bug fixes to enhance the user experience. Our new card design offers a sleek and modern look, while improved visibility of teams in the board view makes it easier to track progress. We have also introduced a UI-config for inherited process templates on-prem/TFS and a new design for the trial banner. In addition, we have addressed several bugs, including an issue where the scale role Project Administrators could not configure the risk kanban after resetting it. With these updates, we are confident that our software will continue to meet the evolving needs of our users.

New features

• A new card design has been introduced to improve the user experience.
• Teams are now more visible in the board view, as the team icon follows when scrolling.
• A UI-config has been added for inherited process templates on-prem/TFS.
• A new design has been implemented for the trial banner.

Bug fixes

• The Scale role Project Administrators were unable to configure the risk kanban after resetting it.
• Calculation of Program Predictability in Analytics can now exceed 100%.
• Icons in Scale now load correctly in full offline on-prem environments.
• Markers with the old color settings can now be removed.
• WSJF settings now display the currently selected number values in settings.
• Dragging corners in the Start & Target date view is now easier, even if the card is only 1 day in length.
• The toggle to remove the project default area path in the risk view is now disabled until an area path is selected.

New cards

Our latest release introduces a new UI design for cards that enhances the user experience. The new design offers a clean, modern look, improved readability, and visual appeal. The updated layout also makes viewing and managing card details easier, providing a more intuitive and efficient workflow. With these improvements, users can focus on their work without being distracted by cluttered or confusing interfaces.

Sub-item functionality has been updated with features, changing priority order and marking items as done:

To enable the new cards, simply head to board settings and enable the preview:

Board UX for team icons

We have addressed an issue where the team icon did not follow when scrolling in the board view, making it difficult to keep track of the team swim lane. With the new fix, the team icon now stays in view as the user scrolls, providing better visibility and ease of use. This enhancement improves the user experience and streamlines team collaboration, allowing for more efficient and effective project management.

Here's an example of the new functionality:

New trial banner & book a demo functionality

We've added a new design for the trial banner that offers a fresh and modern look. In addition to the new design, we have added a "book a demo" functionality to the banner, allowing users to easily schedule a demo with our team.

Clicking book a demo opens up scheduling capabilities in a new iframe:

v.1.5.101 - 2023-03-10

Improvements

• Risk upgrades - Added filters, options, and more
• Added option for on-premises environments to update the license key.
• Start & Target date view can now fetch items based on start and target date instead of iterations with a new toggle.
• Added load charm for bugs.

Bug fixes

• Scale can now load more than 20,000 work items.
• Adding a new team to an ART rearranged the order of the teams, new teams are now added to the bottom and the order is kept.
• Editing more than one capacity field in Start & Target date boards disabled the function.
• Added correct fields in the configuration view when first installing Scale and changing work item types.

Risk upgrades

We've added more functionality to risks. Now you're able to toggle if you want to include the project's default area or not.

We've added areas as a filter function:

Updating license key on-premises

If you're using our offline solution you can now update with a new license key if you head into Collection Settings -> Scale -> Subscription. A new button "Edit license" will be visible.
Edit On-prem License2

Fetching work items based on Start and Target date

We've added more functionality to our Start & Target date view. With this new option, you're able to load work items outside of the iterations/sprints and load items based on start & target date as well.

In this example. I'm able to load a work item from another iteration, as long as the Start & Target date is within the correct time period.
I've got 5 sprints visualized in Scale, but the feature is put on the parent iteration PI1, and I'm still able to load the work item in the board.

Added Load charm on bugs

If teams are managing bugs as requirements and if you assign it story points, Scale will add the story points/effort of that bug to our load and capacity function. This is also shown within Scale:
