Your cards then use the custom fields Start & Finish date that are already integrated on features in Azure DevOps.
Enabling Timeline Management
To enable the new function in your board:
Click on board settings -> Working with cards > Select start & finish date
- Working with cards - Click here to configure how you want the cards to work on the board
- Start & Finish date - Select this if you want to enable Start & finish date visualization on your board.
- Start date - Customize which field you want to work with for the start date - From load, our function uses Azure DevOps standard field
- Finish date - Customize which field you want to work with for the finish date - From load, our function uses Azure DevOps standard field
Working with Timeline Management on the board
To set a start or finish date, simply drag the left or right side of the cards as illustrated in the gif below:
Timeline management examples
Example of a board with compact cards:
Read-only role
A frequent request from our users is to be able to limit user interaction in Scale.
With our new Read-only role you can allow users to view everything in scale but limit their action for editing or changing any information.
This role can be assigned to users in the user administration settings

License Administrator
Now you're able to hand out a new role in Scale called "License Administrator"
This new role gives users the possibility to handle Scale licenses without being an Azure DevOps Administrator. However, this role does not give access to Scale. If you'd like to be an Administrator & have a license for Scale you need to give yourself or the user a license in the license tab as well.
Example of a user without Azure DevOps admin rights accessing the scale org settings:
Quick filter changes
The quick filter is now set on an individual user in Scale instead of a global level. This means that you'll be able to sort items without disturbing any other users' views on Scale.

The time has finally come for a public release of our WSJF function which is aimed to help organisations work with WSJF in a easier and more visual way. WSJF can help your organisation prioritize features & epics to focus on the right things to get more value!
New
• WSJF
Improvements

Bug fixes
• Objective list now follows the team order set in the planning tab
Setting up WSJF
When you first enter WSJF you should set up your custom fields to be worked at.
If you're missing a specific field you can add it to the specific work item type.
Then you can choose the fields in the setup:
Clicking on a specific field lets you choose what field you'd like to put the data in.
In the board settings you can change what values to work with or asign custom numerical values
6x6 grid (effort/value) (Essentials of WSJF)
We see this view as a "light" version of our WSJF-estimation and as a good starting point if you haven't worked with WSJF before.
What gives the most value with the least amount of effort?
As you drag the cards they get their designated values into the fields of the work item and count the WSJF score.
- WSJF Tab - Click here to enter our WSJF & load your first query
- Query filter - Choose filters & run a query the feature & epics you've chosen to be looked at
- Run query - Click here to run & load your query
- Layout picker - Choose which values you would like to work with (in this case we've chosen 6x6 (effort & value)
- WSJF Settings - Choose settings like allowing fields, using different values (Fibonacci, even, odd numbers or custom)
- Column for work item types without values to be put in the matrix
- Visual estimation - As you drag the cards into these fields they get a designated value assigned to the work item
- The result column - the work items with the highest WSJF-score gets put at the top
1x6 grid (Risk reduction, Time criticality, Effort & Value)
We added 1x6 grids to work with the values of WSJF.
As you place features on the board they get their assigned value added to the card.
