Assembly of the Y axis
This is the first part of the assembly process.

Prepare the main frames --

Mount the X endstop --

Add rubber feet to the base of the machine --

Fix the main frames to the base --

Mount the Y endstop --
-
Fix the Y back frame to the base --

Fix the Y front frame to the base --

Fix the two Y rod idlers to the base --

Prepare the Y linear bearing holders --

Mount the Y smooth rods --
-
Tighten the screws for the Y smooth rods --

Incorporate the electronics (in this case Mega3D) --

Prepare the Y threaded rod --

Mount the Y threaded rod --

Prepare the workbed (work base) --
Assembly tip: Use pieces of a straw to keep the nuts in place (by Pablo2048)

Mount the workbed and adjust the anti-backlash mechanism --

Mount the work vise --
NOTE: The purpose of part A is simply to "hide" the head of the two screws that are in the middle of the base. It is done this way in order to simplify manufacture of the base parts with a laser cutter. You don't need to build the base this way unless you are using laser cut parts. -
Prepare the motor for the Y axis --

Mount the motor for the Y axis --

Mount the Y gear cover --

Finish assembling the work vise --
Well done! Now you can proceed to the assembly of the X axis
