Exporting the final CSV and generating the report

1. Click Export CSV (this takes about 30 sec)

  • This will write your f_YYMMDD.csv files as mentioned in the previous section. To continue data editing, proceed to Finalizing the data file.
  • Report tables and a figure will be generated
    • A map of the survey is generated which excludes all psi sightings and includes active SLOW Zones on the survey date
    • Summary table of all large whale species including the total number sighted
    • Sightings table of all right whales sighted. These are actual position (ap) sightings
    • You need to fill out the “Report Notes” with info on conditions and Beaufort, and anything else noteworthy

2. If the above items look good, click “Generate Report”.

  • "Generate Report (PDF)" will create a PDF if you have your LaTeX distribution set up in a friendly way for this app (see README)
  • "Generate Report (html)" will create an html version of the report if the PDF doesn't compile properly. This webpage can then be saved as a PDF manually.

DO NOT CLOSE THE WINDOW YET IF YOU HAVE WHALES AND/OR ARE ON THE NETWORK

Proceed to SAS & DMA Evaluation
