These features are only available on the network or if using example data via the "./example_data/" local file pathway
- A table of right whale sightings will be displayed which is compiled from the ap sightings. This table is bound for SAS, so make sure it make sense.
- If everything looks good, click “Upload to SAS”. This button will only be available if you actually have right whale sightings and are connected to the network server. Wait for this button to be fully disabled (greys out and your cursor turns into a red circle with a line through it) before continuing.
- The proposed new DMA will plot on the map in blue, a Slow Zone set to expire in less than a week will display in orange, whale sightings triggering the DMA are the grey dots with their core area radii encircling them. Whale sightings that do not meet DMA triggering criteria will not have the core area radius surrounding them.
- DMA name and bounds tables are displayed.
- Think critically about the proposed DMA, and if you like it, click “Upload DMA to database”. This button will only be available if you actually have a DMA to consider and you are using the network hosted webpage for the app. Wait for this button to be fully disabled (greys out and your cursor turns into a red circle with a line through it) before continuing.
- “Download DMA Report” will give you a report to save in the "closures" folder.
- If you need a KML to go with your DMA, click “Download KML”. This button will only be available if you have a DMA.
- “Download DMA Letter” will produce the letter to send to GARFO, and save in the "closures" folder.
