What is AREditor

The AREditor is a part of ARCOR2 (Augmented Reality Collaborative Robot), which is a system for simplified collaborative robot programming based on augmented reality. The AREditor is an application for mobile AR-enabled devices, within which the user interacts with the robotic environment. It aims to enable end-users without the knowledge of robotics and programming to easily set, annotate, program, and modify the workplace using augmented reality. Programming, which takes place in graphical form, is facilitated by displaying spatial relationships directly in the scene. The application is multi-user, where the central point of all user interfaces is the ARServer.

What is AREditor for

AREditor is designed to do the following:

  • Annotate (not only) robotic workspace
    • Annotate all devices in the scene
    • Annotate important spatial points
  • Create program by:
    • anchoring actions to annotated points
    • connecting actions to specify program flow
  • Manage (not only) robotic workspace
    • Create and run packages with created programs
