- Variants and optional rules may be selected when creating a game (with references to the rule book, if appropriate).
- Four extra tiles have been added, X20-X23. This is to implement the London upgrade instead of having a token, which the actual game has.
- Instead of the £20 printed on the map for the home token of Minor 14, the first and only token now costs £20.
- Some minor map changes for the gray cities in Highlands, Mid Wales, and Merthyr Tydfil & Pontypool. This is to get the routes to work correctly.
- A corporation with no tokens must activate the C&HPR private before completing the track-laying step to avoid automatically skipping the token-laying step.
- Despite rule 6.1.5, any yellow tile built in the six hexes around London (M36, N37, N39, M40, L39, L37) must connect to the associated London station. Also, consent is not required to build a yellow track connected to London. Background in #4311.
- Bids are not shown if the active player is in debt.
