- The game end trigger is the purchase of the first 4-train, which moves the game into the brown phase.
- Shares can be sold and shorted even if the corporation hasn't run yet, and as of SR1.
- Corporations start as 5-share corporations, and can start as 10-share as of phase 3.
- Loans cannot be paid off the same round they are taken.
- Both tile lays are free.
- There is a route bonus for running a train from Milwaukee to Rockford (+40) and Milwaukee to Great Lakes (+20).
- Trains bought between companies are always exactly at face value (no more, no less).
- The rules in Mainline Magazine say that the Farmer's Union tiles are additional tile lays. This is incorrect, confirmed with the designers.
- The rules in Mainline Magazine say that the Freight Company lets you place a station token in an off-board that gives a $10 bonus. Confirmed with the designers that this is just a bonus marker, and not a corporation station token.
