- Differences from 1830
- Corporations are either minors or majors; minors can convert or merge into majors
- Majors can be started, but only in cities which are disconnected (unless no such cities exist)
- Loans are automatically taken when needed for train buying/track laying/paying loans
- Loans only give you $45 for a $50 value
- Trains can skip towns
- Tokens are based on price * hex distance as crow flies from the nearest token
- Merging other players corporations requires their permissions
- Timmins pays out $80 instead of $40 if the run includes Toronto, Montreal or Quebec
- Corporations that cannot afford a train, loan interest get nationalized
- Minor corporations that end trainless due to rust at 4 & 6 get nationalized. All minors nationalize at the beginning of phase 8.
- Major corporations can be nationalized due to the rust events at 4, 6, & 8
- Open Issues
- Tokens for nationalization are done in Price order followed by reverse hex order rather than Price order followed by random.
- Tile #639 does not contain the Canadian National token until it is placed.
